About our ICT Support Service

Woodlands Technology Services is fully traded and offers professional ICT technical support to local schools & education establishments including academies.  Our technicians are fully DBS Enhanced checked, Microsoft Certified and have a wealth of experience in ICT and in particular ICT in education.

We also have Apple Certified Support Professionals who are able to support Apple based products including iPads & Deployment in schools, including iPad training for teachers.

We can provide a wide range of onsite technical support, regular term time visits and impartial advice and consultancy for your school.  Because we maintain our own ICT systems in house at Woodlands School, this ensures we are kept up to date and relevant to a school’s needs.

It is our intention that the service will be efficient, affordable and cost effective for your school in addressing your onsite ICT technical issues.  The bespoke nature of the service ensures that the charges and Service Level of Agreement reflect excellent value for money.

We are able to offer different packages based on your particular needs including ad-hoc based visits and customised bespoke solutions to suit you.

Some of the range of support we can offer:

General ICT Maintenance of school ICT equipment & software

We cover the maintenence of your school ICT equipment and software, labour only.  We are proactive in checking equipment & updates and can liase with 3rd party companies when required for warranty purposes etc.

Software Installations

We can install & configure your school software individually or where possible, deploy site wide installations using your server, saving time and resources.

Desktop Hardware & Peripheral Installations

We can professionally setup and install new desktop hardware such as new computers, laptops, iPads, Printers etc.

Troubleshooting & Fault Finding

When an issue arises we perform full troubleshooting and fault finding to get to the bottom of the problem.  If the problem is something we cannot fix, eg a hardware warranty issue we will liaise with the appropriate party to rectify any findings.

Impartial Advice

As we do not sell any products and have no ties with any companies/suppliers, our experienced technicians can offer impartial advice.  As we are a school ourselves we always keep at the forefront of what schools can get, what works and what could possibly improve or expand the ICT going forward in your school.

iPad Deployment, Support, Mobile Device Management (MDM) & Apps

Our experienced technicians trained by our own Apple Certified Support Professional can give advice on iPads, and also roll out iPad deployments in schools, making things easier to manage and install Apps.  We can also assist with setting up your school with the Apple Volume Purchasing Programme which can give discounts on apps for schools.

ICT Health Checks

During technician visits we proactively spot check your Anti-Virus, backups, updates and advise accordingly.  We also offer full day health checks to make sure your ICT is working to its best ability.

Server & Network Administration

We can perform administration on your school server(s).  Adding new network users as requested, resetting passwords, creating policies or restrictions on your network, checking software updates or performing software deployments.  We are experienced in Server operating systems from Windows 2003 to the latest Windows 2012.

Remote Support

We offer full remote support to any or all of your computers for quick fixes that do not require a visit to the school.  We can also at your request, securely remote onto servers without the need of interaction from your staff.

Email Support

While we don’t have a telephone helpdesk we do offer email support direct to our technicians who will assist and action accordingly

iPad Training for Teachers

Something that we have been asked regularly for is training on iPads for teachers.  We are now able to offer this 1 hour session with our Apple Certified Support Professional, which covers all the basics and potential of the iPad so that your teachers are more confident in using one.  Please contact us if you would like further details or to book a session.
