Information and communication technology (ICT) is used well. It provides activities that are well suited to individual needs, especially for those students who have specific learning difficulties. They are able to work at their own pace on practical tasks.

ICT Suite

Here at the Woodlands Centre we offer pupils a dynamic, creative, safe and interactive computing curriculum. Our aim is to engage and develop skills, ensuring that they can effectively use and understand modern technology.

Both pupils and staff make full use of the schools ICT resources available to them including  a range of computers running the latest software such as Microsoft Office 2013 & Kodu Labs in our dedicated ICT suite and classrooms, aswell as laptops,  iPads, Android tablets, Microsoft Surface, Dual Touch Promethean Interactive Whiteboards and multimedia technology.

In years 7, 8 and 9, pupils follow the key stage three curriculum.  At GCSE level in years 10 and 11, pupils study courses that further extend this awareness and combines creativity with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.
